In 1986 Senator Ted Kennedy
said, This amnesty will give citizenship to only 1.1 to 1.3 million illegal aliens.
(over 3 million was the final number). Ted said, "We will secure the borders
henceforth. We will never again bring forward another amnesty bill like
this." Ted Kennedy lied to us then, and is lying again. The amnesty plan for
illegal aliens in 1986 cost U.S. taxpayers over 78 Billion Dollars in higher insurance,
medical facilities closing, higher medical costs, more crime, lower standards in schools,
press 1 for english, etc. The 1986 Amnesty program was preceeded by the 1965 Amnesty
program which was also a failure News Archive

Remember the Social Security Crisis that Bush keeps talking about - He fails to mention
that individuals who begin working illegally and later obtain legal status could still use
their illegal earnings to qualify for Social Security benefits
Bush follows Ted Kennedy's lead for illegal alien amnesty. Securing the border with fences
now is not going to happen. Even though the majority of legal U.S.citizens want
enforcement of current immigration laws and securing the borders... many of your elected
officials are not listening to you. You Must Act Now and Make Your Voice Heard. You can
ask your Members of Congress to reject all forms of amnesty and increases in foreign
workers. Don't complain 10 years from now ...when english will be the second language and
you'll have to learn foreign languages to communicate with the new third world U.S. Act

SOME PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATES ALREADY OPPOSING KENNEDY/BUSH AMNESTY
Rep. Tancredo immediately blasted it for the amnesty and sell-out it is.
Sen. Obama indicated he might vote NO if the guestworker provisions stay in the bill
(although he extolled the amnesty part).
Sen. Clinton is weighing her options and not sure she wants to support the guestworker
part.
Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich has been decrying the sell-out bill on TV and radio.
Former Sen. Fred Thompason is opposing the amnesty agreement.
And former Gov. Mitt Romney provided an exceptionally clear NO to the amnesty that is
especially helpful coming from one of the three best-funded GOP candidates.
Sen. McCain and former Mayor Guiliani are for the amnesty
No serious nation in the age of terror
can afford wide-open borders with millions of illegal aliens crossing at will. Today, the
Left wants voting opened to non-citizens, including illegal aliens, regards national
identity and patriotic commitment to America as irrelevant. Newt Gingrich on
