A company in the United Arab Emirates is ready to take over
significant operations at six American ports with the approval of the Bush Administration.
Critics have cited the UAE's history as an operational and financial base for the
hijackers who carried out the attacks of Sept. 11, 2001and transfer points for shipments
of smuggled nuclear components. U.S. Ports For Sale
Update 2-21-06 - President Bush called
reporters at about 2.30 ET aboard Air Force One to issue a very strong defense of port
deal. He said he would veto any legislation to hold up deal and warned the United States
was sending 'mixed signals' by going after a company from the Middle East when nothing was
said when a British company was in charge... Lawmakers, he said, must 'step up and explain
why a Middle Eastern company is held to a different standard.' Bush was very forceful when
he delivered the statement... 'I don't view it as a political fight,' Bush said
U.S. trade deficit soars to All-Time High. Record amounts of dollars are now in foreign
hands giving them more impact on Bush Administration policies. Economy
Warriors Editorial - Opinion of the Bush Administration because of his actions and non
actions. Our problem is the President does not speak to the public enough
and make an attempt to explain his rationale for many of the important security issues.
We believe there is more going on "behind the scenes" and secret negotiations
with Arab friends, then we will ever know. (Remember, not all Muslims are terrorists - but
most terrorists are Muslim Radicals)
Years after the terrorist attack on the U.S. homeland the Bush Administration has not
shown any real strength. The war in Iraq strated off with a big bang and Saddham crawled
into a hole. Bush had strong support to "follow through". Now the Iraqi war is
being fought hand to hand in the streets and not with squadrons from the skies
obliterating the towns where the terrorists are being protected. Flyers and announcements
warning everyone to evacuate a town before a bombing was never used. If it went into
effect, the co-alition troops could surround town by town and do security checks on all
who leave. They then could go in and find the weapons caches. Then decide to obliterate or
re-secure each town. Mosques are also off limits and its a fact that many hold arms
caches. The only arms we are finding are from our brave troops. The Commander in Chief is
being politically correct at the expense of the troops. George W. Bush is in his second
term and does not have to politic for re-election. His VP is not healthy and will not run
for the higher office. Bush was being interviewed about his father and Bill Clinton
working together on Katrina relief. George W. Bush is quoted as saying, "Bill Clinton
is like a brother." Later in the interview he is quoted as saying, "Bush,
Clinton, Bush, Clinton." as he chuckled. President Bush is slowly
losing his base as he acts like a liberal on social issues and the economy. Republican
Conservatives will suffer in the next elections. The Liberals are
drooling and will take action against the port transfer and brag that they are strong on
security. (Hillary will chomp on that) We keep hoping that W will
take note of these issues and act like the conservative who was elected to the Presidency.
We also ask that he learn to pronounce important words like NUCLEAR. It's
pronounced NUKE LEE AR (not NUKE U
LAR)
