Wacked Out Liberal Judges go easy on Child Molesters
Ohio Judge Sentences Admitted Child Molester To House Arrest and No Jail Time
Andrew Selva admitted to sexually assaulting two young boys over a three
year period. Selva was originally charged with 20 counts of rape, but
agreed to a plea deal involving two counts of sexual battery.
Ohio Judge John Connor also recently gave a man convicted of killing two teenagers, while
he was driving drunk, an early release from jail. The judge, who is said to have
been arrested 8 times for drunk driving, is reported to have said that he
suffers from the same disease.
The governor and two other state leaders are seeking the removal of Connor.
The sentence is an obvious miscarriage of justice, and the Legislature should act
immediately, the governor said in a statement. Lawmakers can remove a judge by
beginning an impeachment proceeding in the House, then a trial in the Senate, or
two-thirds majorities in both chambers can remove a judge by resolution. The House will
look into the judge's removal if he doesn't resign, Husted said.
(Warrior Note: Once again the Liberals are involved. They are blogging over the internet
that Ohio Judge John A. Connor is a Democrat and that this is a smear campaign before
elections...they adamantly shout ...that is the only real issue. They refuse to discuss if
they agree with child molestation.)

March 2006 Elyria, Ohio - A judge ruled that a convicted child molester can be released
from prison after serving only half of his three-year sentence. NewsChannel 5 has now
learned more about the case of James Whitman, and spoke the the judge about his
controversial ruling.
Lorain County Judge Kosma Glavas explained his decision by saying it will actually keep
the convicted child molester on a short leash, but for the victim and her mother,
its a tough ruling to live with.
Whitman apologized in court for sexually abusing a 7-year-old girl on three different
occasions. Whitman was asking for early release from prison, serving 15 months of his
sentence. Whitman insisted that he was a changed man who was undergoing successful
counseling. But the victim, now 12, and her mother are stunned that a child molester would
be set free. "Just anger. I couldn't sleep last night, I don't understand his
reasoning," said the victim's mother.
The victim says the decision sends the wrong message to abuse victims. "It doesn't do
any good to put them away. It doesn't do any good to tell. They just get out after a year
and three months," she said.
The judge ordered Whitman to have no contact with the victim or her family, and must take
part in a mandatory sex offender program and abide by a strict curfew. He was also given
100 hours of community service, drug testing and Alcoholics Anonymous meetings.
By granting what's called judicial release, Glavas said he could put tight controls on
Whitman that would not be in place after serving a full sentence. "If you
want to rehabilitate an individual, prison is not the place to rehabilitate. When
you want to rehabilitate someone and make them a good member of society, you have to do it
in society," said Glavas.
Whitman is now scheduled to be released on May 1. Along with the other conditions, he is
also prohibited from being in the presence of any minor without an adult, and will be
registered as a sexually oriented offender for 10 years. If he breaks any of the
conditions, Glavas said Whitman will be sent back to prison.

In another case of a rapist walking out of jail with little time served, a Oklahoma father
is questioning why it is that the man who raped his 13 year old daughter is free
after only four months. Jurors sentenced 38-year-old Gregory Bryant to 30 years
in prison for raping the 13-year-old girl. But Pawnee County District Court Judge
Jefferson Sellers said the jury's verdict was a miscarriage of justice, so he suspended
Bryant's sentence.

Child Molester Sentence Overturned Because Judge Evokes Religion
September 10, 2004 A Nebraska child molester has had his sentence thrown out by an
appeals court because the judge who sentenced him made religious comments as he was
sentencing the man.
District Judge George Thompson had made references to a previous case where he had quoted
passages from the Bible about homosexuality. His previous case was also tossed out in 1998
because he quoted the Bible.
In this most recent case, molester Jay Bruna had been sentenced to 15-50 years in jail for
assaulting a child on his school bus.
In 1998, the Nebraska Supreme Court overturned the sentence of a homosexual child molester
because during the sentencing phase, Judge Thompson quoted the Bible.
