cut is made in the deficit. Speaker John Boehner's plan cut roughly $90 billion
yearly for 10 years and was rejected by Democrats in the Senate.
Senator Harry Reid's proposal would cut the deficit $220 billion yearly
for 10 years. He uses "phantom war spending reductions" for $1.2 trillion in

the debt ceiling and doesn't default, there's a strong likelihood that the
triple A bond rating will be cut to double A unless a budget can be crafted
that results in $400 Billion in cuts yearly
for 10 years, (that's 4 trillion) the result of the massive debt load the
country has accumulated in recent years. A downgrade would raise borrowing
costs, hurt the weak economy and rattle global markets.
