DemocRat Dennis Kucinich emboldens enemies
of the U.S. on Syrian TV. His comments are now being used as propaganda by Al Queda and
Terrorists. Congress should invoke the 14th amendment and kick him out of Office.
On a recent trip to the Middle East, Democratic Congressman and Presidential Candidate
Dennis Kucinich lambasted the Bush Administration and the War in Iraq as a
failure,
crooked and based on a lie, demoralizing our troops on the
frontlines. Reminiscent of
Tokyo Rose during WW II, Kucinich praised the president of a nation that is a
state
sponsor of Hezbollah and responsible for funneling suicide bombers into Iraq,
intent
on killing our troops. For this, Dennis Kucinich should immediately be disqualified from
serving in Congress, under Section 3 of the Fourteenth Amendment.
In his interview on Syrian television, Kucinich consistently referred to
the Iraq War as an
occupation that was dishonest and responsible for the deaths of
millions of Iraqis,
going so far as recommending that Americans pay reparations to the people of
Iraq for
the great human tragedy that has been caused.
Kucinich went on to praise President Assad, demanding the Syrian leader be respected
and appreciated for the role he has played in handling Iraqi refugees. Further,
Kucinich
expressed feeling honored to meet with the leader of a nation that sponsors
one of the
major terrorist threats to American citizens.
Apparently, for the sake of scoring political points with far left voters in America,
Kucinich, a Damascus Dandelion, ignored the role Syria has played in the deaths of many of
our troops.
Syria has become what Sen. Joseph Lieberman has dubbed the travel agent for alQaeda
in Iraq. According to Lieberman the transit of alQaeda suicide bombers through
Syria
on the way to Iraq is completely unacceptable and must stop. Snuggling up to Syria
and
blasting our military forces, Kucinich refused to meet with any troops in Iraq stating
arrogantly I dont want to bless that occupation with my presence.
Section 3 of the Fourteenth Amendment of the US Constitution states,
No person shall be a Senator or Representative in Congress
(who) shall
have
given
aid or comfort to the enemies thereof. This Section of the Fourteenth Amendment,
which
was ratified in 1868, addressed issues related to Southerners who had volunteered.
Although this action has never been taken by Congress, as yet,
The Heritage Guide to the Constitution states the clause is still in operation and
would apply.
Rep. Kucinichs actions not only gave aid and comfort to terrorists in Iraq bent on
killing
our troops, but his statements, broadcast as propaganda throughout the Arab world, have
emboldened our enemies across the globe. Kucinich and his Democratic
comrades have
increasingly succeeded in projecting the image that the United States is weak and unable
to stomach the fight against Islamofascism. What better pep talk for our enemies.
