The National Retail Federation said 10 percent of 106
companies it surveyed reported being targeted in the last year by groups of
thieves using flash mob tactics. These mostly teen-perpetrated crimes are -
part opportunistic - part thrill-seeking - part racially motivated: dozens
of black teenagers collectively targeting and attacking white people they
don't even know. They typically involve group attacks against defenseless,
random victims who have no means to resist and did nothing to provoke their
attackers. These flash mobs often stomp their victims even after they are
down, as most of the news reports describe. These are not rumbles or
fisticuffs; these are acts of brutal mob violence -- a new social problem
that needs to be addressed. All black teens are obviously not responsible
for flash mobs, but the only people committing theses attacks are mostly
black teens. You can't generalize - don't judge entire groups. And for the
record, drunk, rowdy white kids commit a lot of crimes, in a lot of places
however, there is no mob of white kids in America today involved in violence
of this organization, scope, and intensity. From Milwaukee to Philadelphia
to Chicago, officials are enforcing curfews and requiring chaperones for
teens, after several flash mob attacks allegedly involving black youths.
According to several liberal commentators. If you point out a wave of racial
mob violence, you are "race-baiting." The wave of racist violence committed
by black flash mobs is different from any other form of racism today. The
neglected social problem of racial mob violence is unique in its
organization, the high numbers of people involved, the intensity of the
violence, and the stark racial impact of that violence. The violence is also
unique in that it has been purposefully obscured by the mainstream media,
with the editor of the Chicago Tribune, among others, saying that his paper
will not report on the race of the attackers.

Police Let Flash Mob Loot 7-11 A 7-11 in Montgomery County, Maryland
was hit by a flash mob on August 13, 2011. The clerk activated a silent
alarm, but police waited until the mob left the store before responding.
Further, according to the video, the officer refused to investigate the
crime, and only viewed this incident as shoplifting.

In April, a mob of teenagers entered G-Star Raw, a high-end men's clothing
store in the Dupont Circle neighborhood of the District of Columbia and
stole over $20,000 worth of merchandise despite employees' efforts to grab
the apparel back. The store manager said. D.C. police have
investigated leads but have not made arrests in the case. Lennon said he
later saw Twitter postings, apparently written after the robbery, that
referenced the theft, with one person describing having been in the store
and making plans to come back.

Other cities have grappled with the problem of destructive flash mobs. In
Chicago on Memorial Day weekend, roving teens flashed gang signs, knocked
cyclists off their bikes and harassed picnickers. Police closed a popular
beach as the violence escalated. In July, about 30 youths descended on Center City after dark, then
punched, beat and robbed bystanders. One man was kicked so savagely that he
was hospitalized with a fractured skull. Police arrested four people,
including an 11-year-old.
In January, dozens of young people stormed a popular Milwaukee mall late in
the afternoon and scared customers and store employees.

PHILADELPHIA - Mayor Michael A. Nutter, telling marauding black youths “you
have damaged your own race,” imposed a tougher curfew in response to “flash
mobs” - spontaneous groups of teens who attack people at random on the
streets of the city’s tourist and fashionable shopping districts.
“Take those God-darn hoodies down, especially in the summer,” Mr. Nutter,
the city’s third black mayor, said in an angry lecture aimed at black teens.
“Pull your pants up and buy a belt ‘cause no one wants to see your underwear
or the crack of your butt.”
“If you walk into somebody’s office with your hair uncombed and a pick in
the back, and your shoes untied, and your pants half down, tattoos up and
down your arms and on your neck, and you wonder why somebody won’t hire you?
They don’t hire you ‘cause you look like you’re crazy,” the mayor said. “You
have damaged your own race.”
Mr. Nutter announced that he was beefing up police patrols in certain
neighborhoods, enlisting volunteers to monitor the streets and moving up the
weekend curfew for minors to 9 p.m.
Parents will face increased fines for each time their child is caught
violating the curfew.
Mr. Nutter said. “So every one of these kids has two parents who were around
and participating at the time. They need to be around now.”
The mayor told parents, “If you’re just hanging out out there, maybe you’re
sending them a check or bringing some cash by. That’s not being a father.
You’re just a human ATM. … And if you’re not providing the guidance and
you’re not sending any money, you’re just a sperm donor.”
The head of Philadelphia’s chapter of the National Association for the
Advancement of Colored People, J. Whyatt Mondesire, said it “took courage”
for Mr. Nutter to deliver the message.
“These are majority African-American youths and they need to be called on
it,” Mr. Mondesire said.

Aug 12, 2011 - PHILADELPHIA - About 50 teenagers were arrested for
violating a newly enforced curfew for minors aimed at cracking down on mobs
of young people responsible for random attacks on people as well as property
damage. In one mob attack last month, a man ended up in the hospital with
broken teeth and a wired jaw after a group of teenagers attacked him
downtown.
The arrests began about 9 p.m. Friday downtown and on South Street, a
10-block strip of bars, restaurants and stores on the edge of downtown that
has long been a hangout for teens and 20-somethings, said police spokeswoman
Officer Tanya Little.
Mayor Michael Nutter announced last week a curfew of 9 p.m. for those under
18 on Fridays and Saturdays downtown and in nearby University City, home to
the University of Pennsylvania and Drexel University.
A first arrest could mean a fine of $100 to $300 , and parents could be
fined up to $500 for successive violations by their children. In other parts
of the city, the curfew remains 10 p.m. for those under 13 and midnight for
those under 18.
Other measures in the crackdown included increased enforcement, a campaign
to get business leaders to register their security cameras with the police
department and extended hours for about 20 youth centers in the city
