Bush has met and phoned Fox many times on the subject of 'Illegal
Alien Mexican Border Jumpers". Fox has been "mouthing off" about a
"guest worker program"since before he was elected. There is already
is a Guest Worker Program.!!!
U.S. businesses pay "low wages - off the books - in cash" They are allowed to
subvert the law.
Republicans and Democrats turn their eye from the laws on the books for campaign
contributions and other perks.
NOTE: U.S. Employers are required to justify wages and show evidence there are no
american workers available.
The employer must file an
application with the Department stating that there are not sufficient workers who are
able, willing, qualified, and available, and that the employment of aliens will not
adversely affect the wages and working conditions of similarly employed U.S. workers.

RECRUITMENT:The employer must agree to engage in independent
positive recruitment of U.S. workers. This means an active effort, including newspaper and
radio advertising in areas of expected labor supply.
WAGES:The wage or rate
of pay must be the same for U.S. workers and H-2A workers. The hourly rate must also be at
least as high as the applicable Adverse Effect Wage Rate (AEWR), federal or state minimum
wage, or the applicable prevailing hourly wage rate, whichever is higher
HOUSING: The employer must provide free housing to all
workers who are not reasonably able to return to their residences the same day. Such
housing must be inspected and approved according to appropriate standards.
MEALS: The employer must provide either three meals a day
to each worker or furnish free and convenient cooking and kitchen facilities for workers
to prepare their own meals.
Workers' Compensation Insurance: The employer must provide workers' compensation
insurance where it is required by state law. Where state law does not require it, the
employer must provide equivalent insurance for all workers
Other Conditions: The employer must keep accurate records with
respect to a worker's earnings. The worker must be provided with a complete statement of
hours worked and related earnings on each payday

or Seasonal Agricultural Work-
The H-2A temporary agricultural program establishes a means for agricultural employers who
anticipate a shortage of domestic workers to bring nonimmigrant foreign workers to the

Sen. Charles Grassley (R-Iowa), told his colleagues on the Senate Judiciary Committee on
March 2: “Let’s be realistic. Our government bureaucrats simply cannot implement
a program for 11 million illegal aliens. You’d all be shocked if you learned about
the internal fraud and abuse at the Citizenship and Immigration Service. I have been
investigating the internal problems at CIS as well as their backlog of national security
cases. The bureau doesn’t have an effective practice for reviewing these cases.
Officials are being bribed. Visas are being given away. Green cards are being sold. CIS is
giving out interim benefits, which is a precursor for additional privileges.... And we
want this agency to handle the program in an effective manner? That’s
unrealistic.” It is beyond unrealistic; it is criminally irresponsible.
Many of the 500,000 people who crammed
downtown Los Angeles and other areas to protest legislation that would make criminals out
of illegal immigrants learned where, when and even how to demonstrate from the
Spanish-language media in the previous two weeks.

First - Secure the Open Borders....Fine or jail employers of Illegal Aliens....Cut off all
welfare and social services for illegals.
Illegals will "deport" themselves.
The President is breaking his oath of office to protect the borders. He is surrendering to
mass protests and poor advice. AN estimated 10 to 30 million people who have disobeyed our
laws will be given more favors.
We are told that we cannot possibly find every illegal immigrant. We also have no hope of
finding every speeder and every drug user. Should we abandon those law enforcement efforts
as well?
President Fox has called U.S. border control efforts in San Diego and Texas
“discriminatory.” He said those of us opposed to illegal immigration are part of
“minority, xenophobic, discriminatory groups.” And President Fox astounded us
all when he declared that illegal aliens in the U.S. “take work that not even blacks
want to do.”
President Fox called the Minutemen “migrant hunters,” yet calls Mexican illegal
aliens “heroes.” He called the House passage of a provision authorizing the
construction of a border fence, “disgraceful and shameful.” He refuses to even
recognize that those who cross our border without permission are illegals, infamously
telling Sean Hannity, “They are not illegals. They are people that come there to
work, to look for a better opportunity.” |
