Report says the U.S. supplied Egypt's military with weapons
for the Libyan rebels
3/18/2011 - Libya declared an immediate cease-fire and promised to stop
military operations.
According
to a report in the Wall Street Journal the United States is supplying
Egypt's military with weapons to transport to the Libyan Rebels.
Just
months later over 20,000 portable,
heat-seeking missiles have gone missing from Libya - (Al Queada? Muslim
Radicals?)
Just as the insurrection began in Libya - Muammar
Gaddafi warned on March 2nd 2011 that oil production in Libya had hit a historic
low and threatened to throw out Western oil companies operating in the
country. "We are ready to bring Chinese and Indian companies to replace
Western ones," he said as oil companies evacuated their personnel and fled
the violence.
Was the NATO and U.S. assisted bombing of Libya done to protect Europe’s oil supplies?
Did the U.S. violate the U.N. resolution to “protect” citizens by offensively
bombing to assist in a regime change. Removing Muammar Gaddafi was not a
part of the resolution. Every energy and oil installation in Libya, offshore
and onshore is European-owned. In 2010 Gaddafi met with Russian officials
and discussed nationalizing the oil fields and setting up a cartel with
Russia, Iran, and Venezuela.
1/16/2012 - LIBYA -
Libyan arms continue to flow into Gaza through Sinai. Estimates are that
there are more than 10,000 missiles in the coastal enclave, some of which
had a range over 25 miles. Iran appears to be using the Egyptian Sinai as a
staging area for launching attacks on Israel.
Some say the Obama Administration did the dirty work for Al Qaeda.
10/31/2011
- The flag of Al Qaeda has been spotted flying over the courthouse in
Benghazi, while rebels in Libya are said to have imposed Sharia law since
seizing power.
Reports say that Islamists in Benghazi have been seen
driving SUVs along the city's streets and waving the Al Qaeda flag at night
while shouting, 'Islamiya, Islamiya! No East, nor West'. The country's new
leader, Mustafa Abdul-Jalil, said Islamic Sharia law will be the ‘basic
source’ of legislation in free Libya. The sudden lurch by a country seen as
very moderate towards Islamic extremism will alarm many in the West who
supported the ousting of Colonel Gaddafi. Many are saying that Obama did the
dirty work for Al Qaeda?

10/27/2011 - Abdel Hafiz Ghoga, vice chairman of the ruling National
Transitional Council (NTC), told a news conference in BenghaziI am sure
that was an individual act and not an act of revolutionaries or the national
army," the top interim official said. The NTC had adamantly claimed that
Kadhafi was killed in crossfire after he was captured in Sirte, his hometown
and final bastion. Disquiet has grown internationally over how Kadhafi met
his end after NTC fighters hauled him out of a culvert where he was hiding
following NATO air strikes on the convoy in which he had been trying to flee
his falling hometown. Mobile phone videos show him still alive at that
point. Subsequent footage shows a now-bloodied but walking Kadhafi being
hustled through a frenzied crowd, before he disappears in the crush and the
crackle of gunfire can be heard.
10/24/2011 Mustafa Abdul-Jalil, the chairman of the National Transitional Council
and de fact president declared that Libyan laws in future would have Sharia,
the Islamic code, as its "basic source". He said that in
future bank regulations would ban the charging of interest, in line with Sharia. "Interest creates disease and hatred among people".

Gaddafi Assassinated ?
Conflicting News Stories about the Libyan Leaders Death
Video Gadhafi Dead
News Report and Video Al-Jazeera television initially reported
that Gaddafi was captured wounded- but alive in Sirte. Later footage showed
rebels rolling Gaddafi's lifeless body over on the pavement, stripped to the
waist and a pool of blood under his head with them shouting - Allahu Akbar.
Another report said he was captured while trying to escape in a convoy.
Another report said he hid in a storm drainage pipe under a six-lane highway
to escape capture from rebels. The national transitional council said
Gaddafi died on the way to hospital in Sirte. AP reports that a doctor who
was part of the medical team accompanying Gaddafi to hospital has said he
died from two bullet wounds to the head and chest. (going to the hospital
with 2 bullets in head and chest?) Another story said Gaddafi was still
alive after being cornered by revolutionary forces. Although wounded, he
seems to be able to talk and remonstrate with his captors as they try to
load him onto the back of a pick-up truck. No images have yet emerged of his
actually being shot, in what his thought to have been an execution-style
killing.
An estimated 20,000 portable, heat-seeking missiles
have gone missing from Libya
9/27/2011 - Libya - An estimated 20,000 portable, heat-seeking missiles
have gone missing from Libya. Tommy Vietor, spokesman for the National
Security Council, which advises President Obama, says that a State
Department expert is on the ground in Libya working with the Transitional
National Council, the rebels' interim government, to develop a "control and
destruction program" for heat seeking missiles. Yet, an estimated 20,000
portable, heat-seeking missiles have gone missing from unguarded Army
weapons warehouses. Rebels and other unknown parties have snatched thousands
of the missiles has raised alarms that the weapons could end up in the hands
of al Qaeda, which is active in Libya.
9/5/2011 TRIPOLI, Libya - Rebel forces and armed civilians are rounding up
thousands of black Libyans and migrants from sub-Sahara Africa, accusing
them of fighting for Gadhafi and holding them in makeshift jails across the
capital. Virtually all of the detainees say they are innocent migrant
workers. The Obama Administration has yet to comment on the situation.
8/22/2011 Libyan rebels seized control of most of Libya's capital of
Tripoli. Insiders allege that the same people who fought with al Qaeda against
the U.S. in Iraq and Afghanistan are now, likely about to help run, a state with the 9th largest oil reserves in the world.
Col. Gadhafi's whereabouts remained unknown. NATO said that since March 31,
alliance planes have flown 19,877 sorties over Libya, of which 7,505 were
offensive strikes. It said the planes had destroyed 4,490 military targets,
including 500 radar systems and storage facilities, 275 command and control
sites, 10 aircraft, 10 ships and more than 500 tanks and armored vehicles.
7/1 Libya- In a recorded message broadcast to a large crowd
gathered in Tripoli’s central square, Libyan leader Moammar Gaddafi
threatened to attack Europe if NATO continued bombing his country. The
crowd’s size and vigor suggested that the beleaguered leader still has
sizable support in the capital. Shortly after the speech, a series of blasts
believed to have been NATO bombs thundered through the capital. The military
coalition has been bombing Libya for more than three months.
6/30 Libya - Air Force and Navy aircraft are still flying hundreds of
strike missions over Libya despite the Obama administration’s claim that
American forces are playing only a limited support role in the NATO
operation.
The Obama administration has said that the War Powers Resolution does not
apply to the Libya operation because the U.S. role is limited. The White
House declined to comment on how 801 strike sorties constitutes “limited”
involvement, but Harold Koh, a State Department legal adviser, said in
testimony before the Senate Foreign Relations Committee on Tuesday that
“when U.S forces engage in a limited military mission, that involves limited
exposure for U.S. troops, and limited risk of serious escalation, and
employs limited military means, we are not in the kind of hostilities of the
kind envisioned by the War Powers Resolution.” He said there have been “no
active exchanges of fire with hostile forces” despite AFRICOM’s statement
that weapons had been dropped during 132 sorties. Many in Congress on both
sides of the aisle vehemently disagree with the White House’s contention
that they are not in violation of the War Powers Resolution
6/16 - Libya - U.S. State Department spokeswoman Victoria Nuland rejected
the idea of elections in Libya. "It's a little late for any proposals by
Gadhafi and his circles for democratic change." Meanwhile, Russia and China
have established closer ties and are in opposition to the U.S. and foreign
nations dictating democracy under the power of weapons and not diplomacy.
Also, along with other lawmakers, Democrat Dennis Kucinich this week filed a
lawsuit against the Obama administration on the Libyan conflict, claiming
the president violated the law by not securing congressional approval.
6/3 - Libya - Obama warned that he has broken the constitutional chain
of authority by committing U.S. troops to the international military mission
in Libya. Almost 75% of House Democrats and Republicans voted to put Obama
on notice that he must explain himself or else face future consequences,
possibly including having funds for the war cut off. Members of Congress
said the Constitution and the War Powers Resolution require more than alerts
about military action — they require congressional approval, which the White
House has not sought. U.S. military action in Libya began March 19. A
president can commit troops for up to 60 days, but requires congressional
approval to extend the commitment beyond that period.
5/15 - Libyan Prime Minister Baghdadi Mahmudi
said after meeting with UN Representatives that Libya was keen for "an
immediate ceasefire to coincide with a stop to the NATO bombardment and the
acceptance of international observers." His country, he said, was committed
to the unity of its territory and people and Libyans had the right to
"decide on their internal affairs and political system through democratic
dialogue away from the bombing threat".
5/11 - Libya -
The White House said a senior rebel delegation would be received for the
first time in Washington on Friday. NATO bombed Muammar Gaddafi's compound
hours after the Libyan leader ended doubt about his fate by making his first
television appearance since another air strike killed his son nearly two
weeks ago. Libyan officials deny killing civilians, saying instead they are
fighting criminal armed gangs and al Qaeda militants. They say the NATO air
strikes are an act of colonial aggression.
4/30 - Libyan leader Moammar Gadhafi escaped a NATO missile
strike in Tripoli on Saturday, but his youngest son and three grandchildren
under the age of 12 were killed.
4/22 - Defense Secretary Robert Gates said Obama has approved the use of
armed Predator drones in Libya. NATO, meanwhile, has signaled it will
increase air strikes on Gadhafi's positions.
Senator John McCain visited the "rebels" in Libya and called them
heroes? He said none of them admitted to be affiliated with Al Queda.
4/20 -
Italy joined Britain and France in announcing their commitment of
military instructors to train the Libyan rebels on the ground and to
increase air strikes. Dismissing concerns over possible links between Libyan
rebels and al Qaeda, the Obama administration has notified Congress it is
providing $25 million in aid to the rebels
4/10 - Libyra -
South African President Jacob Zuma says the Libyan government has
accepted an African Union peace plan to end the eight-week-old conflict. The
AU deal's main points are an immediate ceasefire, the unhindered delivery of
humanitarian aid, protection of foreign nationals, and a dialogue between
the government and rebels on a political settlement. An unidentified "rebel
spokesman" said any deal designed to keep Colonel Gaddafi or his sons in
place would not be acceptable. Question - Definition of rebel
spokesman=? who is he? where from? what are goals? is he connected to Al
Queada, Iran or the Muslim Brotherhood? Obama's liberal media needs to ask
the hard questions and find out just who the rebels are? who, what, why?
Many times the only difference between a civilian and a rebel is not just
what they wear, but how persuasive their lies are to western liberal news
reporters with their own agenda.

Libyan rebels turned their fury on Nato after at least 13 fighters were
killed and dozens wounded in an airstrike. Rebel commanders said tanks and
military hardware captured from Colonel Gaddafi’s forces had been attacked
in daylight with missiles despite being marked on the top in yellow as
requested by Nato. Four missiles hit the 30-vehicle convoy, which included a
bus packed with fighters, on the outskirts of the eastern oil port of Brega,
according to one rebel commander. The rebels have been using anti-aircraft
guns as artillery and there was a suggestion that the airstrike was
triggered when one opened fire on government forces in Brega. The deputy
commander of NATO forces in Libya Rear Adm. Russell Harding the British
officer said, "we had no information that the TNC or the
opposition forces were using tanks."
4/7 - Libya -
13 more Libyan civilians killed by NATO air strikes. It's the third
incident in a week involving international forces deployed to protect Libyan
civilians. Last Friday, at least 13 people were killed when a coalition
plane fired on a "rebel" convoy between Brega and Ajdabiya. 3 medical
students/civilians were among the dead. In another incident, 7 civilians
died and 25 injured in a coalition air strike. Meanwhile, the (Libyan
rebels, Anti Gaddafi civilians, Muslim Brotherhood, Iranian subversives and
Al Queada?) are moving a group of tanks, armored vehicles and rocket
launchers near the front line between the towns of Ajdabiya and Brega.
4/5 - Libyan Leader Gadhafi wrote a third the letter to President Obama
obtained by The Associated Press Gadhafi told Obama that a democratic
society could not be built through the use of missiles and aircraft. He also
repeated his claim that the rebels seeking his ouster are members of the
al-Qaida terrorist network. Addressing Obama as "our son" and "excellency,"
Gadhafi said that his country had been hurt more "morally" than "physically"
by the NATO campaign. Gadhafi implored Obama to stop the NATO-led air
campaign, which he called an "unjust war against a small people of a
developing country." "To serving world peace ... Friendship between our
peoples ... and for the sake of economic, and security cooperation against
terror, you are in a position to keep Nato (NATO) off the Libyan affair for
good." Obama has not responded to any of the letters that were directed to
him. Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton repeated U.S. and allied
demands that Gadhafi's forces must pull back and cease attacks. There has
been no similar demand that the Libyan Rebels cease attacks on the current
pro government supporters.

Libya - A plane enforcing the international no-fly zone hit the rebel
vehicles, including an ambulance, between Brega and Ajdabiyah when an
anti-aircraft gun was fired into the air, the BBC reported. The accidental
hit was a result of NATO forces, who are aiding Libyan civilians, confusing
forces loyal to strongman Moammar Ghadafi and rebel groups. Forces on both
sides are using civilian vehicles and not wearing uniforms, while most are
wearing civilian clothing, according to rebel forces.
The accident was the second in two days. Seven civilians were killed Friday
near Brega, including three sisters.
4/1 Obama authorized U.S. intelligence agencies to provide direct assistance
to the Libyan rebels. CIA operatives making contact with Libya's
insurgents and begin orchestrating the logistics of providing weaponry,
money, and other forms of aid to the fighters. Obama said he “was not ruling
out” providing assistance to the Libyan rebels, but “neither was he ruling
it in.” In other words Obama means read my lips "I'm trying to confuse
everybody"
3/31
News that U.S. officials openly told Reuters that Barack Obama had
authorized covert operations in Libya raised the prospect of wider support
for the rebels. Experts assume special forces are on the ground "spotting"
targets for air strikes. Public confirmation from Washington may indicate a
willingness for greater involvement. Obama's order is likely to further
alarm countries already concerned that air strikes on infrastructure and
ground troops by the United States, Britain and France go beyond a U.N.
resolution with the expressed aim only of protecting civilians.
3/31 - Libya -
At least 40 civilians have been killed in air strikes by Western forces
on Tripoli, the top Vatican official in the Libyan capital told a Catholic
news agency, quoting witnesses. "It's true that the bombardments seem pretty
much on target, but it is also true that when they hit military targets,
which are in the middle of civilian neighborhoods, the population is also
involved," Martinelli said. "Bombardments had indirectly hit some hospitals.
To be precise, one of these hospitals is in Mizda," he said, mentioning a
town about 90 miles southwest of the Tripoli."
3/27 -
The Arab League secretary general, Amr Moussa, deplored the broad scope
of the U.S.-European bombing campaign in Libya and said that he would call a
league meeting to reconsider Arab approval of the Western military
intervention. Moussa said the Arab League’s approval of a no-fly zone on
March 12 was based on a desire to prevent Moammar Gaddafi’s air force from
attacking civilians and was not designed to endorse the intense bombing and
missile attacks, including on Tripoli, the capital, and on Libyan ground
forces. “What we want is the protection of civilians and not the shelling or
more civilians."

U.S. troops in Iraq. The U.S. and its coalition partners have effectively
sealed a
No-fly zone over the area
3/20 Calling Barack Obama as "our son", Libyan leader Muammar
Gaddafi sent a message to the US President defending his decision to attack
the rebels fighting to overthrow him. Gaddafi also wrote a letter to the
French and British leaders, and the UN Secretary General, saying the
Security Council resolution was "void" and violated the UN charter, warning
them that they would "regret" any intervention. "Libya is not for you, Libya
is for the Libyans," he said. Details of Gaddafi's letters were released by
the Libyan government spokesman at a news conference in Tripoli. Defending
his decision to attack rebel cities, Gaddafi told Obama, "Al Qaeda is an
armed organization, passing through Algeria, Mauritania and Mali. What would
you do if you found them controlling American cities with the power of
weapons? What would you do, so I can follow your example. "You will regret if
you get involved in this, our country. We can never shoot a single bullet on
our people, it is Al Qaeda organization."

In an interview with ABC News, Libya's Colonel Qaddafi said he was

and blamed al Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden and the
Islamic Maghreb, the group's North African wing, for manipulating Libyans
who have risen up and taken control of large parts of the oil-producing
country. Hillary and Barack refer to anti government rebels as "demonstrators for democracy" and are

League's support for a no-fly zone helped overcome reluctance in the West
for action in Libya. The U.N. authorized not only a no-fly zone but also

it would send fighter jets and France was making plans to deploy planes, but
the U.S. had yet to announce what its role would be. It appears as if Obama
and the Democratic Party have but one aim - to get elected for a
second term. That means not doing anything that might upset any number of
special interest or niche groups.
