POP STAR DEAD AT 50
Jackson
Death News Updates
Actual 911 Call
June 29-2009 News Update
Leaked autopsy details show the singer was a virtual skeleton barely eating
and with only pills in his stomach at the time he died.
His hips, thighs and shoulders were riddled with needle wounds believed to
be the result of injections of narcotic painkillers, given three times a day
for years.
And a mass of surgery scars were thought to be the legacy of at least 13
cosmetic operations. The examination showed the 5ft 10in star once famed for
his on-stage athleticism had:
PLUNGED to a “severely emaciated” 112 pounds. It is understood anorexic
Jackson had been eating just one small meal a day.
Pathologists found his stomach empty aside from partially-dissolved pills he
took before the painkiller injection which stopped his heart. Samples were
sent for toxicology tests.
LOST virtually all his hair. Jackson was wearing a wig when he died and
pathologists said little more than “peach fuzz” covered his scalp.
A scarred section of skin above his left ear was entirely bald apparently
the result of a 1984 accident when his hair caught fire as he filmed an ad
for Pepsi.
SUFFERED several broken ribs as frantic rescuers pumped his chest after he
collapsed in cardiac arrest. Four injection sites were found above or near
to Jacko’s heart.
All appeared to result from attempts to pump adrenaline directly into the
organ in a failed bit to restart it.
Three of the injections had penetrated the heart wall causing damage but a
fourth missed and hit one of the 50-year-old star’s ribs.
The autopsy also found unexplained BRUISING on Jackson’s knees and on the
fronts of both shins. And there were CUTS on his back, indicating a recent
fall.
The King of Pop’s once handsome face bore a network of plastic surgery
scars, while the bridge to his nose had vanished and its right side had
partially collapsed.
Cardiologist Dr Murray was thought to have given Jackson the final injection
of painkiller Demerol.
He is facing serious questions about his resuscitation attempts, which began
when he started CPR as Jacko lay unconscious on a bed. Basic first aid
guidance says patients must be face-up on a hard surface before
compressions. Experts expressed amazement that a trained cardiologist could
have made such an error, potentially wasting vital minutes.
Additional damage was believed to have been caused by oxygen masks and
tubing inserted during resuscitation attempts. But in an ironic twist, the
probe found Jacko was recovering well from skin cancer with an op to shave
cells from his chest a total success.
A second autopsy demanded by the Jackson family was carried out at a secret
location on Saturday after the first ruled out foul play.
Dr Murray was hired just 11 days ago by AEG Live - the firm masterminding
Jacko’s 50-date residency at London’s O2 Arena, which was due to start next
month.
Sources claimed the family were preparing a multi-million-dollar lawsuit
against the cardiologist.
June 28-2009 News - The cardiologist who was with Michael Jackson
during the pop star's final moments sat down with investigators for three
hours to explain his actions, and his spokeswoman says he is not a suspect.
Police confirmed that they interviewed Murray, adding that he was
cooperative and "provided information which will aid the investigation."
Medical officials said there was no indication of trauma or foul play. An
official cause of death could take weeks.
Michael Jackson's family wants a second, private autopsy of the pop
superstar because of unanswered questions about how he died.
June 27-2009 - News - The physician who was in Michael Jackson's Holmby Hills mansion before his death has hired an attorney from a
Houston-based law firm to represent him as they meet with LAPD officials at
an undisclosed location.
The move followed claims that, only minutes before he died, the
star was given an injection of a painkiller which can cause cardiac arrest.
The doctor, named as cardiologist Conrad Robert Murray, was said to have
tried to revive Jackson, then disappeared for several hours.
A BMW towed away by police from outside Jackson's home belonged to the
doctor's sister, Susan Rush.
An assistant at Dr Murray's practice said the cardiologist had been living
with 50-year-old Jackson and was with him when he suffered the fatal cardiac
arrest.
The emergency 911 call from Jackson's home said a personal doctor was trying
to revive him. The caller, a young man, said: 'He's pumping his chest but
he's not responding to CPR or anything'.
TMZ quoted a close relative of Jackson as saying he was receiving a daily
injection of Demerol and the dose was 'too much'. The relative said the
singer was injected at 11.30am.
As the police inquiry was launched an inner circle of 'enablers' was blamed
for Jackson's death. Long-time family lawyer Brian Oxman accused personal
physicians, businessmen and media agents of helping the singer abuse
prescription drugs to prepare for his gruelling 50-concert London comeback.
He said they had pushed him too hard physically.
June 24-2009 - It was suspected that the
collapse of pop star Michael Jackson could have been caused by an overdose
of a painkiller.
An Emergency Room source at UCLA hospital said Jackson aides told medics he
had collapsed after an injection of potent Demerol which is similar to
morphine.
A Jackson source said: “Shortly after taking the Demerol he started to
experience slow shallow breathing.
“His breathing gradually got slower and slower until it stopped.
“His staff started mouth-to-mouth and an ambulance was called which got
there in eight minutes “Butfound he was in full respiratory arrest, no
breathing and no pulse. They started full CPR and rushed him to hospital.
“When he arrived they started resuscitation, giving him heart shocks and
inserted a breathing tube and other supportive measures to try and save his
life.
“He never regained consciousness. The family was told that he had passed.”
Los Angeles City Fire Department confirmed the emergency call was made from
Jackson’s home.
“The call came in because a person was not breathing,” said a spokesman.
“When the team arrived, they saw that CPR was already in progress by someone
at the home.
“The person not breathing was transported to UCLA Medical Centre.”
Medics administered heart massage and oxygen along the route. But they could
not revive the star.
Jacksons family were informed and rushed to his bedside as weeping fans
began massing outside the city’s UCLA Medical Centre.
Finally a doctor appeared and told shocked relatives and aides that all
efforts to restart his heart had failed and that he had died.
Los Angeles County Coroner Fred Corell confirmed that Jackson had died of
heart failure at 2.26pm local time.
Other stunned family members said that Jackson, who was due to begin a
series of comeback concerts at London’s O2 arena next month, “was in really
bad shape”.
The singer had been staying at the LA house while he rehearsed for his
comeback tour.
More than 750,000 tickets had been sold for the former King of Pop’s “This
is It” concerts.
The opening dates were postponed last month after concert promoters AIG said
Jackson needed more time to rehearse the complex dance routines.
But after The Sun revealed that he was suffering from skin cancer there were
fears that he was not fit enough to complete the tour.
Experts found spots of skin cancer on his upper body and pre-cancerous cells
on his face.
Jacko’s close pal Uri Geller was “too upset for words” last night. He said:
“The whole world is absolutely devastated and I am lost for words because
everyone expected him to come to England to do his concerts.
“He was in good health. He was rehearsing, dancing, practicing for the shows
in England and I am shocked, that is all I can say.”
Jacko had been blighted by a string of past health problems — including
rumored heart trouble.
But he had vowed to perform his £150million comeback gigs
