1/16/2012 EGYPT -
Islamists announced a temporary agreement on a power-sharing plan that would
install a Muslim Brotherhood leader as speaker of the country’s newly
elected parliament. The agreement among six political parties guarantees
that the Muslim Brotherhood’s Freedom and Justice Party will lead Egypt’s
first elected parliament since the ouster of Hosni Mubarak in February, with
the Islamist party expected to control as many as half the seats.
1/3/2012 - Egypt’s Muslim Brotherhood will not recognize Israel “under any
circumstance,” said the party’s deputy leader Dr. Rashad Bayoumi and
Brotherhood members would ever meet with Israelis for negotiations.“I will
not allow myself to sit down with criminals.” Bayoumi went on to say that
the Muslim Brotherhood would take legal procedures towards canceling the
peace treaty between Egypt and Israel that was signed in 1979. In recent
Egyptian elections the Brotherhood’s Freedom and Justice Party (FJP) won
36.3 percent of the list vote. If you listened to Obama, CNN, MSNBC, NBC,
ABC, CBS and the NY Times, when Egypt was crumbling, it was all Obama's idea
and plan to have the Arab Spring occur. So let's give credit where credit is
due.
11/19/2011 Egypt - Hundreds of thousands of Egyptians rallied in Cairo’s
Tahrir square with the Muslim Brotherhood Islamists to protest against
attempts by the country’s military rulers to designate themselves as the
guardians of a new Egypt. The rally was dominated by the country’s most
organized political group, the Muslim Brotherhood, which has rarely come out
in full force since the protests that forced President Hosni Mubarak to step
down in February. The Muslim Brotherhood had avoided confrontation with the
ruling Supreme Council of the Armed Forces, but now warns of escalating its
protest campaign if plans to give permanent political powers to the military
are not scrapped.
9/20/2011 Yemen - Thousands of protesters backed by military defectors
seized a base of the elite Republican Guards on Monday, weakening the
control of Yemen's embattled president over this poor, fractured Arab
nation. Yemen is close to the major oil fields of the Gulf region and
overlooks key shipping lanes in the Red and Arabian seas. It is home to one
of the world's most dangerous al-Qaida branches, whose militants have staged
or inspired a series of attacks on U.S. territory. Already, the chaos in
Yemen has allowed al-Qaida militants to capture and hold a string of towns
in the nearly lawless south of the country.
8/18/2011 - Obama called on Syrian President Bashar Assad to leave
office, ratcheting up pressure on the regime to end its violent suppression
of demonstrators demanding a new democratic government. "We have
consistently said that President Assad must lead a democratic transition or
get out of the way." The administration called the sanctions "the strongest
financial action we have taken against the Syrian regime thus far."
7/15- Syria - Syrian security forces shot dead at least 12 protesters on
Friday as hundreds of thousands of people took to the streets across the
country in the biggest protests so far against President Bashar al-Assad.
Assad, facing the greatest challenge to 40 years of Baath Party rule, has
sought to crush demonstrations. But although rights groups say some 1,400
civilians have been killed since March, the protests have continued unabated
and swelled in size.
7/10 Syria - Some 1,600 civilians and 350 members of security forces
have been killed since demonstrations began, activists say. Syria blames
what it calls "armed gangs" and Muslim extremists for the violence.
6/2 Egypt - The Muslim Brotherhood appear to be taking a controlling
part in the NEW government. Recent reports claim they are proposing a Sharia
Islamic Government.

Feb. 10 - Saudi King Abdullah chastised Obama for his treatment of Egypt and
its president Hosni Muhbarak calling it a disaster that would generate
instability in the region.

and fighters into Gaza.
Egypt permanently opens Gaza border crossing
6/1 Syria - Human Rights Watch issued a report accusing Syrian security
forces of committing crimes against humanity. The report, based on
interviews with more than 50 witnesses, estimates that at least 880
anti-government protesters have been killed in Syria since protests erupted
in the country in March. U.S. and European efforts to move a UN Security
Council resolution condemning Syrian human rights abuses have reportedly
been blocked to date by Russia and China.
5/30 YEMEN - Forces loyal to Yemen's embattled president have killed 21
protesters as they crushed a sit-in demonstration in Taez, an organizer
says, on the same day as suspected al-Qaeda gunmen killed six soldiers in
the south. More than 200 rioters have been killed since the protests first
erupted in late January. Scores more have died in armed clashes. The gunmen
claim to be part of the Partisans of Sharia (Islamic law), which is a
coalition of armed jihadist groups along with al-Qaeda forces.
World News 5/15 -
Thousands of
pro-Palestinian demonstrators breached Israel's borders with Syria, Lebanon
and Gaza. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) accuse Iran of orchestrating the
waves of fighting. Egyptian police fired tear gas at protesters outside the
Israeli embassy in Cairo. The Gaza leader of Hamas, said in
a sermon that Hamas refuses to give
up violence or recognize Israel’s right to exist, and calls in its charter
for the destruction of Israel.
5/23 - Yemen - Yemen's embattled President Ali Abdullah Saleh vowed
he would not step down. Combat between government troops and armed tribesmen
continued throughout the area
Both sides threathened civil war as the death toll rose to over 70. The
latest violence comes just days after a failed Arab mediation effort to end
the three-month uprising and ease Saleh from power.
U.S. President Barack Obama has called on Saleh to transfer power - a change
from an administration that once considered the Yemeni ruler
5/13 - Jordan - Thousands demonstrated
in support of Palestinians demanding a sovereign Palestinian state,
others near the Jordanian-Israeli border chanting "Death to Israel, Egypt's
powerful Muslim Brotherhood backed the demonstrations.
5-13 Egypt News -
Obama remains silent
on the religious violence by Islamic extremists
who want to seize power in Egypt. Another attack left a dozen Coptic
Christians dead and scores injured. Burning of Coptic churches and Christian homes and businesses continues.
5/13 - Egypt - Thousands of Egyptians took to
the streets to push their military rulers to do more to help
Palestinians following the overthrow of president Hosni
Mubarak. Many Egyptians felt Mubarak, a U.S. ally, was too soft on Israel
and want their new government to take a much stronger pro-Palestinian stand.
Mubarak was accused of participating in an Israeli blockade on Gaza by
shutting the border Egypt's powerful Muslim Brotherhood backed the demonstrations. The government deployed army and police to prevent
demonstrators from crossing the Suez Canal to Sinai, the route they would
have to take to reach the Gaza Strip

after their attacks.
Israel has been very careful when firing back on their positions, so as to not to
injure civilians. But who really are the civilians? If a Palestinian
gets injured or killed it will make liberal U.S. headlines for days. Some
say people who die from natural causes are sometimes paraded in the streets
and blamed on the "Occupying Jews."
Recently, five family members were knifed as they slept in their house in
the West Bank town of Itamar. The victims were Udi Fogel, 36, his wife,
Ruth, 35, and three of their children: Yoav, 11, Elad, 4, and 3-month-old
Hadas. Some Palestinians passed out candy to celebrate the killing of the
West Bank Jewish family.

Israel
Ready to Retaliate with Great Force
Palestinian
Islamic terrorists position themselves next to schools, hospitals, mosques
and in the center of populated cities to launch attacks on Israel.
The Al-Quds Brigades of Islamic Jihad claimed responsibility for the
missile fire, which came after Israel killed four terror operatives in a
missile strike. The four were behind the firing of two Katyusha rockets into
Beersheba. Speaking in the US, Ya'alon said that Israel will not tolerate
"terrorist attacks or shooting rockets at our citizens." He said that the
war against terror "requires a long battle, but it will not stop us from
taking care of whomever shoots at Israel as they have in the last few days
or [of whomever] sends terrorists to the center of cities." A fiercer no
holds barred counter attack by Israel is just what the Radicals in the
Middle East want to solidify their current approach to taking over the
entire area. Iran, Al Queada, The Muslim Brotherhood have started small
fires of revolt all over the Middle East and their approach seems to be
working. No strong Israeli support from Obama adds to the mix.
News Update- The Muslim Brotherhood appears to be in a position to gain a
large block in the upcoming parliamentary elections in September. They
recently stated that they will bring up the peace treaty with Israel for
reconsideration.
4/27 - Pro-Palestinian activists have announced plans for a large convoy
of 15 ships with a total of 1,500 people to the Gaza Strip. A smaller
similar flotilla was raided a year ago by Israeli forces, leaving nine
people dead on the Turkish boat. Organizers plan to begin the journey on May
31st which is the anniversary of the fatal raid. Their purpose is to
intimidate Israel and to break Israel's blockade of Gaza. Israel says any
attempt to reach Gaza by sea is aimed at provoking violence.
4/27 -
Syrian security forces
have shot dead at least 400 civilians in their campaign to crush month-long
protests. The White House publically increased it's displeasure with Syrian
President Bashar Assad’s violent crackdown on protesters and threatened
sanctions. The
U.S. lists Syria as a state sponsor of terrorism for over 30 years because
of its ties to militant Palestinian groups and interference in Lebanon.
Obama tried to diplomatically engage Assad’s government in 2009 by
reinstating a U.S. ambassador to Damascus after the Bush administration
recalled the diplomat in 2005.
4/21 - Egyptian radicals protested in front of the U.S. Embassy in
Cairo demanding the release of 'the blind sheik', Omar Abdel Rahman. The
Egyptian cleric is serving life in prison after a 1995 conviction for plots
to blow up New York City landmarks. The protest leader was Abboud el-Zomor,
who was released from an Egyptian prison in March after serving multiple
sentences for his role in the assassination of former Egyptian President
Anwar Sadat. El-Zomor was a member of the Al-Jihad Group, a part of the
Muslim Brotherhood.
4/20 - Syrian security forces fired automatic rifles and tear gas to
disperse crowds of protesters overnight in the New Clock Square of Homs,
Syria's third-largest city. A number of protesters were killed or wounded.
Syria approved an end to decades-old emergency laws which meets a key demand
of anti-government protesters, but issue strict warnings against any further
demonstrations.
4/19 - Egypt, Syria, Iran News - U.S. officials said,
Egypt is likely to be significantly less beholden to U.S. interests,
compared to it's alliance with Hosni Mubarak. "It's hard to imagine a change
that would improve on what we had" with the previous Egyptian regime.
Iran and Egypt's new government said they were moving quickly to thaw
decades of cold relations. The U.S., Israel and Saudi Arabia fear the
relationship could upset the Mideast's fragile balance of power. Obama has
not personally made any public comments or been asked any hard questions by
the liberal media since he demanded the ouster of Mubarak. Obama has let
"other officials" comment.
Iran said it appointed an ambassador to Egypt for the first time since the
two sides froze diplomatic relations more than thirty years ago. Officials
at Egypt's Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed that new foreign minister
Nabil Elaraby is planning a visit to the Gaza Strip which is an area
controlled by Hamas, a militant Palestinian Islamist group backed by Iran.
The announcements follow a rare meeting between a high-level Iranian
diplomat and Mr. Elaraby, after which the foreign minister told reporters
that Egypt has "opened a new page" with Iran. Egypt's outreach has
also extended to Syria, a close ally of Iran.
The Gulf Cooperation Council, a group that includes Saudi Arabia and Qatar,
asked the U N Security Council to stop "flagrant Iranian interference" in
Bahrain and other countries. Saudi Arabia and Bahrain have accused Shiite
Iran of aiding Bahrain's predominantly Shiite anti-government protesters.
Amr Moussa, the former Secretary General of the Arab league, owes his
front-runner status in Egyptian presidential elections later this year to
his forceful statements against Israel when he was Egypt's foreign
minister during the 1990s
4-15 Iran - An Obama administration official says Iran
is secretly helping Syrian President Bashar al-Assad put down pro-democracy
demonstrations. Tehran is providing gear to suppress crowds and assistance
blocking and monitoring protesters' use of the Internet, cell phones and
text-messaging. Communications intercepted by U.S. spy agencies show Tehran
is actively exploring ways to aid some Shiite hardliners in Bahrain and
Yemen and destabilize longstanding U.S. allies there. Such moves could
challenge interests of the U.S. and Saudi Arabia and inflame sectarian
tensions across the Middle East.
4-9 Iran - Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said that a new Middle
East, without the Zionist regime, America and its proxies, is taking shape.
4/9 Israel - Militants in the Gaza Strip, ruled by the Islamist Hamas,
continued striking Israel's south with rockets, wounding five Israelis at
around daybreak. 4 Palestinian militants were killed and 6 others wounded as
Israeli forces pursued air raids in Gaza, responding to increased rocket
fire out of the territory.
4/9 Syria - Syrian security forces opened fire on mourners near a mosque
in the city of Deraa Security forces used live ammunition and tear gas to
disperse thousands of people who were chanting freedom slogans after
assembling near the old Omari mosque in the old quarter of the city, near
the border with Jordan after a mass funeral for ""pro-democracy""???
protesters. Dozens of people have been killed in a wave of protests across
Syria against the rule of President Bashar al-Assad. President Obama has yet
to personally rebuke the "pro democracy" protesters killings, as he
immediately did with Libya.
4/9 Egypt - Soldiers and police used tasers, batons and gun shots to try
to drive out protesters from Tahir Square. A number of ""protesters"" were
killed and dozens of others injured. It is the same area that demonstrators
used to oust Hosni Mubarak on February 11 with the approval of President
Barack Hussein Obama. Thousands more joined them demanding power be handed
to civilians. The United States, which gives Egypt $1.3 billion a year in
military aid. The U.S. Embassy said, "We have seen the disturbing reports of
the use of excessive force overnight in Tahrir Square and are looking into
the situation. We urge the Supreme Council of the Armed Forces to conduct a
thorough and timely investigation." President Obama has yet to personally
rebuke the NEW "pro democracy" protesters killings, as he immediately did
with Libya.
4/7 Israel/Gaza - Fighting flared after a Palestinian
anti-tank missile hit an Israeli school bus, critically wounding one child
and injuring the driver. 40 pupils had just got off the bus at a previous
stop. 45 rockets and mortars were launched into Israeli territory from Gaza
in the space of three hours. Armed Islamist Radical movement Hamas, which
has ruled Gaza since 2007, said they were responsible for the attack on the
bus. Israeli forces retaliated with planes and artillery, killing five
Palestinians.
4/6- Reporting from Iraq , NBC’s Tom Brokaw said the
Saudi Arabian monarchy is “so unhappy with the Obama administration for the
way it pushed out President Mubarak of Egypt” that it has sent senior
officials to the Peoples' Republic of China and Russia to seek expanded
business opportunities with those countries. In Iraq, the political and the
economic situation remains fragile. So fragile that the U.N. secretary
general is worried that this country could now see massive protests in the
streets once again.”
4/6 - Yemen - "The United States strongly condemns the
use of violence by Yemeni government forces against demonstrators in Sanaa,
Taiz and Hodeida in the past several days. The Yemeni people have a right to
demonstrate peacefully, and we remind President Ali Abdullah Saleh of his
responsibility to ensure the safety and security of Yemenis who are
exercising their universal right to engage in political expression." The
President of the United States strongly supports the Yemeni people in their
quest for greater opportunity and their pursuit of political and economic
reform that will fulfill their aspirations."
4/4/2011 - Mohamed ElBaradei, running for the
presidency of Egypt, said “if Israel attacked Gaza we will declare war
against the Zionist regime." He also said, "Israel controls Palestinian
soil"
3/26 Syria - unrest continues with government troops reported to
have killed 61 people. The country’s stability amid the Middle East
revolutions appears to be lost. For two years, the United States has tried
to coax Damascus into negotiating a peace deal with Israel and to moving
away from Iran. The effort failed and opened Obama to criticism on Capitol
Hill that he is bolstering one of the most repressive regimes in the Arab
world. Hillary Clinton declined to say if the U.S. might be willing to enter
other conflicts where governments attack their own people. She told CBS'"Face The Nation" that it was too early to talk of intervention in Syria
3/26 Egypt - Two months after Obama insisted that President Mubarak had to resign after
30 years in office for not being nice enough to the "young democracy
demonstrators" in Tahrir Square, the New York Times has finally stated the
obvious: the Muslim Brotherhood is winning the power struggle in Egypt.

3/26 Jordan - which has its own peace treaty with Israel, is also in
danger. U.S. Officials do not believe Jordan is close to a tipping point.
But the clashes, which left one person dead and more than a hundred wounded,
pose the gravest challenge yet to King Abdullah II, a close American ally.

Russia's foreign ministry spokesman, said that the coalition had hit
non-military targets. He suggested that 48 civilians had been killed.- Amr Moussa, the head of the Arab League criticized international
strikes on Libya, saying they caused civilian deaths. The Arab
League's support for a no-fly zone helped overcome reluctance in the West
for action in Libya. The U.N. authorized not only a no-fly zone but also
"all necessary measures" to protect civilians. Moussa says the military
operations have gone beyond what the Arab League backed. What we want is
civilians' protection not shelling more civilians,” he said.

At a news conference in the capital, Tripoli, the government spokesman
read letters from Gadhafi to President Barack Obama and others involved in

Libyan officials had informed the U.N. and the Security Council that the
government was holding to the cease-fire and called for a team of foreign
observers to verify that.

2-28-2011 Egypt: Egyptian Islamic Radical Military Fires on
Coptic Christians at Church. These videos make one question why Obama has

Islamic Army Tanks Firing on St. Bishoy Coptic
Monastery Why hasn't Obama made a statement??? He said Egypt's uprising was
about freedom and democracy.....not Islamic Radicals taking control and
attacking Christians.
For the second time in as many days, Egyptian armed force stormed the 5th
century old St. Bishoy monastery in Wadi el-Natroun, 110 kilometers from
Cairo. Live ammunition was fired, wounding two monks and six Coptic
monastery workers. Several sources confirmed the army's use of RPG
ammunition. Four people have been arrested including three monks and a
Coptic lawyer who was at the monastery investigating yesterday's army
attack. Monk Aksios Ava Bishoy said the armed forces stormed the main
entrance gate to the monastery using five tanks, armored vehicles and a
bulldozer to demolish the fence built by the monastery last month to protect
themselves and the monastery from the lawlessness which prevailed in Egypt
during the January 25 Uprising. Father Hemanot Ava Bishoy said the army
fired live ammunition and RPGs continuously for 30 minutes, which hit part
of the ancient fence inside the monastery. "The army was shocked to see the
monks standing there praying 'Lord have mercy' without running away. This is
what really upset them," he said. "As the soldiers were demolishing the gate
and the fence they were chanting 'Allahu Akbar'
He also added that the army prevented the monastery's car from taking the
injured to hospital.

Pakistan's government it was the second assassination in two months of a
high-profile opponents of laws that impose the death penalty for insulting
Islam. Shahbaz Bhatti was aware of the danger he faced, saying in a
videotaped message that he had received death threats from al-Qaida and the
Taliban. The 42-year-old Roman Catholic said he was "ready to die" for the
country's often persecuted Christian and other non-Muslim minorities. The
slaying in Islamabad followed the killing of Salman Taseer who was gunned
down by one of his guards. Both men campaigned to change blasphemy laws in
Pakistan that impose the death penalty for insulting Islam and have been
loudly defended by Islamist political parties. Barack Obama has not issued

committed in the name of Islam.

2/27/2011 - Al-Qaida's offshoot in Yemen urged Muslims to revolt
against Arab rulers and establish governments based on Islamic law,
according to an audio tape posted Saturday on militant websites. The appeal
came at a time of growing political unrest in the Arab world. Popular
uprisings have deposed the leaders of Tunisia and Egypt, and anti-government
protests are gaining momentum in Libya, Yemen and Bahrain. The speaker on
the audio tape is identified as Ibrahim al-Rubeish, a former detainee at the
U.S.-run Guantanamo Bay lockup. The tape was produced by al-Qaida in the
Arabian Peninsula, a Yemen-based offshoot of the terror network, according
to the SITE Intel group, a U.S.-based group that monitors extremist
websites. He also said toppling longtime rulers is not enough and that new
governments must be established based on Islamic religious law, or Shariah.
2/26/2011 - Iraq's top cleric called on politicians to slash their

Moammar Gadhafi said he will not leave and is willing to die to squash
the riots. Pro Gadhafi supporters took to the streets to battle with
the demonstrators in a sign of unity. Gaddafi blamed the uprising in the
country on "Islamists", and warned that an "Islamic emirate" has already
been set up in Bayda and Derna, where he threatened the use of extreme
force. He urged Libyans to take to the streets and show their support for
their leader. Fresh gunfire was reported in the capital on Wednesday, after
Gaddafi called on his supporters to take back the streets from
anti-government protesters.
The Muslim Brotherhood said it rejects U.S.

Two
Iranian warships passed through the Suez canal on Feb 22nd en route to
Syria. The vessels are the 1,500-ton patrol frigate Alvand and the
33,000-ton support ship Khark. The frigate is said to be armed with
torpedoes and anti-ship missiles while Khark has a crew of 250 and is
capable of carrying three helicopters. The Iranian ships are headed for a
berth in Syria near Lebanon, whose Hezbollah movement, an Iran ally, fought a war with
Israel in 2006. No Iranian naval vessels had passed
through Suez since the Islamic Republic was established in 1979. Warships of
any country needed approval to pass thru the canal from Egypt's defense and
foreign ministries. The U.S. Commander in Chief, Barack Obama said he was aware of the
Iranian warships but would make no further comment. The aircraft carrier USS
Enterprise, escorted by the missile cruiser USS Leyte Gulf and the fast
supply ship USNS Arctic were taking up positions opposite the Kharg cruiser
and Alvand missile destroyer of the Iranian Navy's 12th Flotilla. Obama
ordered them to back off.
2/22/2011 Gaza- The two Iranian naval ships which crossed the Suez
Canal to the Mediterranean are carrying "advanced Hezbollah weapons." Inside
sources told the
Maariv Israeli paper, "Estimates indicate the two ships are carrying
missiles of different range, rifles, ammunition, and night-vision gear. The
voyage of the two ships is an Iranian attempt to go around the arms embargo
on Hezbollah." The paper also said that it believed the voyage is an attempt
on the part of the Iranians to "test the waters" with and gauge the
responses of the Egyptian Supreme Military Council and its stance towards
Tehran.
2/21/11- The spiritual leader of Egypt's Muslim Brotherhood Yusuf al-Qaradawi
issued a fatwa on Monday on Al Jazeera television that any Libyan
soldier who can shoot dead embattled leader Moamer Kadhafi should do so "to
rid Libya of him." Libyan leader Moammar Gaddafi's son
warned early Monday that the country faces a bloody civil war if protesters
refuse to accept reform offers, in a speech broadcast as gunfire rang out in
the capital, saying that his father remained in charge with the army's
backing and would "fight until the last man, the last woman, the last
bullet." Saif al-Islam Gaddafi condemned the unprecedented uprising against
his father's 41-year rule as a foreign plot, but admitted mistakes were made
in a brutal crackdown and urged citizens to build a "new Libya". 233 people
have been killed in Libya since the anti-regime protests broke out on Feb.

2/21/2011 - Algerian riot police used batons to disperse protesters
trying to organize an anti-regime rally in a central square of the capital.
Unrest in Algeria could have implications for the world economy since it is
a major oil and gas exporter, but analysts say an Egypt-style revolt is
unlikely because the government can use its energy wealth to placate most
grievances. The protest was organised by human rights groups, some trade
unionists and a small opposition party.
Feb 20-2011 - Admiral Mike Mullen, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of
Staff arrived in the turbulent Gulf region for a week-long visit to Arabia,
Qatar, United Arab Emirates and Kuwait. He will also stop in Djibouti to
underscore U.S. strategic ties with allies challenged by protest movements
sweeping the Arab world.
Feb 20-2011 - Iran's supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei at
the same time called on Muslims to "remove" the US from the Islamic world.
"The main problem in the Muslim world is the presence of the United States.
Feb 18-2011 Iran - Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad attacked Barack
Obama on Friday, saying the American president "doesn't even know how to
spell his own name properly." During a visit to Bushehr ahead of a scheduled
rally in support of his regime, the Iranian leader said, "Obama wants to
rule the world, but he can't even control his own emotions."
Feb 18-2011 - Yemen - Anti-regime protesters in the volatile Yemen city of
Taez were blasted with a hand grenade Friday leaving two dead and dozens
hurt, while violent clashes also erupted in Sanaa. Several journalists were
severely beaten by supporters of the ruling General People's Congress who
want to overthrow the regime
Feb 18-2011 Libya - Thousands of Libyans took to the streets Friday to
voice their discontent over Moammar Gadhafi, witnesses said. Amnesty
International said Libyan security forces had shot dead at least 46 people
and more than 110 people injured
Feb 18-2011 - Bahrain
– Soldiers opened fire Friday on thousands of protesters
defying a government ban and streaming toward the landmark square that had
been the symbolic center of the uprising to break the political grip of the
Gulf nation's leaders. 2/15/2011- DUBAI, United Arab Emirates – Thousands of protesters took
over a main square in Bahrain's capital in an attempt to copy Egypt's
uprising and force high-level changes in one of the
key U.S. allies in the Gulf.
Feb 18-2011 - Saudi Arabia - A senior member of the Saudi royal family has warned that
the oil-rich country could be harmed by the uprisings sweeping the Arab
world unless it speeded up reforms. Prince Talal bin Abdul-Aziz Al Saud told
BBC Arabic that "anything could happen" if King Abdullah Bin Abdul Aziz did
not proceed with a program of political transformation.
2/17/2011 - Iraq - A pre-dawn bombing of a pipeline that feeds Iraq’s
second-largest refinery spilled thousands of barrels of crude oil into a
village in still-deadly Diyala province. The attack came as Iraqis continued
to voice wide dissatisfaction with their government in protests around the
country, which have turned violent and deadly. Two demonstrators were killed
Thursday and at least 53 injured in Suleimaniya, the second-largest city in
Iraq’s Kurdistan region, according to a source.

-Tunisian
authorities renamed the main square in the capital Tunis after a vegetable
seller whose suicide sparked the protests that toppled the regime.
The newly named Mohammad Bouazizi Square had previously been November 7
Square, marking the date in 1987 when former President Zine al-Abidine Ben
Ali took power. Bouazizi set himself on fire in December when police
confiscated his goods and scales -- a desperate act that launched a wave of
protests that led Ben Ali to flee to Saudi Arabia in January and inspired
the uprising in Egypt that led President Hosni Mubarak to step down.

2/14/2011 - Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said the US stands
with Iranian opposition supporters. She called on Tehran to grant its
citizens the same freedoms that were recently won by protests in Egypt. "Let
me, clearly and directly, support the aspirations of the people who are in
the streets in Iran today," Clinton told reporters.

Iran Protests-
Either the US is with the
Iranian government, or with the Iranian people. There's a difference, say
the protesters. Obama sought to avoid being drawn in
as a meddler in Iranian affairs. Obama met with advisers at the White House
as developments in Iran grew more ominous, with police seen beating
protesters.

regimes which had backed the United States until now. Abdullah took Obama to

Egypt Riots
Some predict an Islamic Terror State from Egypt's Ashes with the
Support of the Obama Administration
The United States at times seemed overwhelmed
trying to keep up with the rapidly changing crisis, fumbling to juggle its
advocacy of democracy and the right to protest, its loyalty to longtime ally
Mubarak and its fears of Muslim fundamentalists gaining a foothold.
Neighboring Israel watched with growing unease, worried that their 1979
peace treaty could be in danger.
Mubarak, a former air force commander came to power after the 1981
assassination of his predecessor Anwar Sadat by Islamic radicals. He
resisted calls for reform even as public bitterness grew over corruption,
deteriorating infrastructure and rampant poverty in a country where 40
percent live below or near the poverty line. The protest movement that began
on Jan. 25 grew from small groups of youth activists organizing on the
Internet into a mass movement that tapped into the discontent to become the
largest popular uprising in the Arab world. Up to the last hours, Mubarak
sought to cling to power, handing some of his authorities to Suleiman while
keeping his title. But an explosion of protests Friday rejecting the move
appeared to have pushed the military into forcing him out completely.
Vice President Suleiman — who appears to have lost his post as well in the
military takeover — appeared grim as he delivered the short announcement." In
these grave circumstances that the country is passing through, President
Hosni Mubarak has decided to leave his position as president of the
republic," he said. "He has mandated the Armed Forces Supreme Council to run
the state. God is our protector and succor."

Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt
The Muslim Brotherhood Movement was founded in Egypt in 1928. It's a
universal organization which constitutes the largest Islamic movement of
modern times. Hamas is a radical fundamentalist group founded on December
14, 1987 by the Muslim Brotherhood…. Its avowed purpose is “liberating
Palestine” from the Jew “oppressors,” whose presence in the Middle East it
considers an affront to Muslims’ rightful sovereignty. It blamed the
Egyptian government for being passive against "Zionists" and joined the
Palestinian side in the war against Israel; and started performing terrorist
acts inside of Egypt, which led to a ban on the movement by the Egyptian
government.

Feb 5th 2011 In his address to the Nation -
Egypt's 82-year-old former general portrayed himself as a patriot overseeing
an orderly transition until elections in September. MSNBC, Reuters, NY Times
and other liberal media outlets say, "there were reports that Mubarak would
step aside today." He is now defiant...etc...The sources of "those reports"
are not given. They also were reporting rumors with no sources. They are
stoking the fires in Egypt with their yellow journalism. Mubarak said, he
would continue to “shoulder his responsibilities” until September. A similar
statement as he originally made when Obama was publically calling for an
"immediate transition." It was revealed on Feb 10th that Leon
Panetta of the CIA was the one who leaked the assumptions to the press.
America's closest ally in the Gulf made clear that
the Egyptian president must be allowed to stay on to oversee the transition
towards peaceful democracy and then leave with dignity.
Saudi Arabia's King Abdullah told President Obama not to humiliate
Mubarak and warned that he would step in to bankroll Egypt if the U.S.
withdrew its aid program, worth $1.5 billion annually. For Obama to be
"publicly lecturing" the president of another sovereign nation on almost a
daily basis insults that nation, not just its leader.
If Obama were genuinely concerned with what is going on in Egypt,
he should have made the same demands 2
years ago
"Iran said the uprising in
Egypt will help create an Islamic Middle East and is offering support.
"Iran's supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei,
says anti-government riots in Tunisia and Egypt are "a sign of the
awakening of Islam inspired by the Islamic Revolution's victory in Iran."
The Americans and Zionists are helpless and will not succeed in finding a
remedy for the situation." "Today the entire world knows that despite the
pressure they exerted, America, Europe and their allies have been
unsuccessful in beating Iran in the nuclear issue."
On Feb 1st - Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak announced that
he won’t seek reelection. In a recorded statement, he said he’ll work on the
remaining months of his term, which ends in September, so the government can
guarantee the peaceful transition for power. After the announcement eyewitnesses in Cairo said,
"We saw people looting, we saw
gunfire, people shooting other people. A lot of people working in our hotel,
they came out with sticks and knives and bats and they protected us from
getting looted."
Egyptian authorities were unable to
stop an armed gang from removing ancient artifacts from a warehouse in the
Sinai peninsula.
Does this appear to be Democracy at work like Obama
initially implied? Street thugs, Iranian officials and other radicals say
they do not accept the transition but want Mubarak out now ...or else.
A majority are concerned that if he left
quickly, the economy and institutions could collapse, resulting in an
explosion of crime and violence. When
rioting and looting continued...thousands of
supporters of President Mubarak?
(or shop keepers
who had stores
looted
or fed up with Historic Items Stolen) moved in and attacked the
rioters.

We haven't had a chance to ask Obama any
questions since this middle east crisis began. There have been a couple of
occasions that could have been open to the press that weren't. Can you
explain why
we haven't been able to question the President?
CNN, ABC, MSNBC, CBS and other Liberal News outlets are now focusing on pro government supporters
as the violent ones. They're alleging in their news that government thugs are to
blame. Mubarak said he didn't order anyone to counter the rioters, but
MSNBC said they don't believe him. Previously they and Obama
said the anti Mubarak rioters were "demonstrators" protesting for democracy
with no suggestion that Iranian, Muslim Brotherhood or Al Queada thugs could
be inciting the violence and looting. The U.S. should work behind the scenes
with the Egyptian Government and not publically flame the fires.
On Feb 2nd Obama's press
secretary Gibbs says, Obama wants an "immediate transition" in Eqypt.
Transition to ...WHO?... WHAT? Iran and The Muslim Brotherhood also want an
immediate transition.............On Feb 5th Obama changed his comments which were aimed at President Mubarak
not privately but in the public media. Obama now, "urged all sides to allow time for an, "orderly
transition"
On Feb 5th Obama Press Secretary Gibbs declined to comment to press
questions on the
failed assassination attempts on Egypt's vice president that killed 2 of his bodyguards.
On Feb 17th the news came out that a CBS newswoman for 60 minutes show
was sexually abused and injured by the demonstrators AFTER Mubarak resigned.
CBS held the story for over 5 days because they had been referring to the
protestors as for a democracy movement in line with the Obama remarks.
Analysts say if the Egyptian military retains power and installs another one
of its own as leader, the issue will be to what extent Egypt’s relationship
with the U.S. is damaged by the Obama administration’s efforts to exert its
