High Oil Prices and U.S. Foreign Energy dependence are in the headlines.
Same as last year...the year before and before...all the way back to the Carter
Administration and the 1970's Gas Crisis.
60 miles off the coast of Key West, Fla. China is
drilling for oil with a lease issued by Cuba. Venezuela and Mexico are planning to drill
for Oil in the Florida Atlantic and the Gulf of Mexico.
Democrats in Washington are blocking oil
companies from conducting its own environmentally-safe oil and gas exploration in similar
U.S. coastal areas.
The U.S. can drill in Alaska and
200 miles off the California and Florida Coastlines. New technology can reclaim old wells
in the U.S. New refineries can be built at closed army bases... but those fossil fuel
solutions are political hot cakes that may never happen. Constant babble about Global
warming, global cooling, ozone layers and the like are debated ...but no solutions to
those alleged problems is ever included in their diatribes. They criticize the public for
buying SUV's, while they fly on private jets and ride around in gas guzzling limos. Tell
your elected officials to promote the solutions now.....or vote them out.

Refuge in northern Alaska
Renewable energies have all been around for a long time. U.S. Bell Laboratories patented
the first solar cell based on silicon in 1955, and Italian engineers first generated
electricity from geothermal steam in 1904. "In many cases the technology is there,
but hasn't reached the market.
Even radical environmentalists have objections to some renewable energies,
such as injury to birds flying by windmills.
There ARE alternatives to burning
foreign oil that have been around for decades......

fuel source that powers the world's nuclear reactors, the energy emits ZERO
greenhouse gas emissions. France has 59 nuclear reactors that account for over 80% of it's nations
energy. The
U.S. is continually challenged by activists who say, "No war for foreign
oil." They also chant, "No more nuclear reactors in the U.S."
FACTOID - Iran and Venezuela control 25% of Oil supplies via
OPEC
Bagdad News - Iraq's cabinet gave approval to the Oil Ministry to sign agreements to
increase crude output. Royal Dutch Shell, BP, ExxonMobil and Chevron submitted technical
and financial proposals for 5 fields. Iraq will pay the companies with crude oil and not
cash. Iraq is believed to have the worlds 2nd largest oil reserves.
After it's fully
mapped, Iraq may actually have the worlds largest reserves.
Democrats say the
oil companies are sitting on millions of acres of oil but are
refusing to drill on those leases. Most of those acres are being
explored for oil or have already come up dry. They don't want
more oil or lower prices at the pump, they want you to ride a
bike and then starve to death. In the middle of a crisis,
Pelosi, Reid and the other Wacko DemocRats are still
professional liars.
The actions of
Democrats for 20 years proves they disregard the public outcry as they suffer from high
gas prices.
